Microcellular Systems - Pictures
Microcellular
Systems was founded in 2005 focused on providing specialized services and products
to mobile network operators worldwide for all generations of technologies, from
2G up to and including 6G. Aim is to help provide mobile communications in very
difficult locations, and situations, often not thought possible or certainly
not economical so green / renewable / sustainable energy is very important if
not imperative
These are a
few pictures of earlier projects as examples of what we can do
Chevy Suburban for T-Mobile USA for
extra capacity at special events, very mobile and quick set up and retrieval
Mercedes Sprinter for Iraq for initial
service in locations ahead of permanent sites, very mobile and quick set up and
easy to move, the business end with full mobile network infrastructure and
control center
United
nations private network for rapid deployment with support teams around the world,
quick to airlift and drop in hostile territory and set up for communication
with the teams, especially for security and safety
Permanent
site for Alaska Wireless for coverage of island and fishing vessels in one of
most hostile environments possible, Dutch Harbor
Trailer
system for Econet Nigeria, extra capacity at special events, quite mobile and
quick set up with microwave link back to core network
Permanent
site in Federated State of Micronesia (FSM) using solar power for coverage of an
island (and surrounding sea) with no mains power available
Temporary
site for Safaricom in Kenya for extra coverage at an international marathon in
a remote national wildlife park. Generator powered and satellite connection
back to core network
One of the
very first 5G user equipment (UE) for early pre-standards testing at T-Mobile
USA, not very user or power friendly needing a
generator (base station out of sight on top of building to right)
Example of hilltop
wind turbine for upgrading to add green 4G/5G/6G for remote areas and road
coverage
